Oct. 19, 2017 – Washington Co., WI – The UW-Washington County Lady Wildcats volleyball team finished its regular season by defeating UW-Sheboygan in a non-conference match 25 – 17, 25 – 14, 25 – 21.
“The team played extremely well throughout the entire match,” said coach Deb Butschlick. “Defensively we concentrated on being in the correct position and reading the opponent’s attack. We served well at 88 percent with 18 ace serves.”
The Wildcats focused on strong serves with varying intensity on the ball.
“Our quick offense really came together, Kayla Schommer has stepped up her game to make the correct plays on the court,” said Butschlick.
This weekend is the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference State Tournament in the Wisconsin Dells. “If the team continues to play as they have been the last three match we should do very well,” Butschlick said.
