Jan. 31, 2017 – West Bend, WI – The UW-WC Wildcats battled against UW-Manitowoc on a snowy Monday night and iced the win with a solid performance at the free-throw line.
The Wildcats trailed 20-18 going into halftime, but used an aggressive defense to regain the lead in the third quarter.
As a team, they had 15 total steals and forced 25 turnovers.
As the game went down to the wire Kim Zimmel hit a three pointer to tie the game at 40. After that the Wildcats never looked back and went 5/6 from the free throw line to seal the win, 46-41.
Zimmel led the way with 17 points and Marissa Kaul scored a season-high 12 points. Megan Breuer led the way on defense with five steals.
UW-Washington County plays Wednesday at UW-Waukesha.
