Dec. 2, 2017 – Washington Co., WI- The UW-Washington County Wildcats suffered a tough loss Friday night against the Falcons of UW-Fond du Lac. The Falcons started the game on a 10-0 run, and finished the quarter leading 16-8.
The Wildcats cut the deficit to six early in the second quarter using back-to-back three’s by Meghan MacFarlane. However, the Falcons reclaimed a double-digit lead heading into halftime with a 32-20 lead.
The Falcons controlled most of the second half as the Wildcats struggled with turnovers throughout the third and fourth quarters.
In the end, the Falcons overpowered the Wildcats en route to a 59-39 win.
The Wildcats were led in scoring by Meghan MacFarlane and Sammie Brown with 11 points each. Marissa Kaul added eight points as well.
The Wildcats are back in action Wednesday, Dec. 6 at home against UW-Fox Valley.
