This week former UW-Fond du Lac Dean John Short was named the new president of the University of Maine at Fort Kent. He will begin his new position April 1.
Fond du Lac County Executive Al Buechel said he’s not surprised as Short left a gigantic void when his job was cut through the UW System’s leadership restructuring.
In addition to the work he did at the UW-Fond du Lac, Short also served on committees working on improvements for Lake Winnebago and Lakeside Park .
