Authorities in Dodge County have released the name of the 12-year-old boy who was killed in a motor bike crash on Friday.
According to the Sheriff, Maxwell Behmke of rural Neosho was killed in an accident at 3:59 p.m. when he was crossing the road at County Highway NN near N. Tyler Road in the Township of Rubicon and was struck by a pickup truck driven by 34-year-old Brandon Lacrosse of Neosho.
Behmke was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet. The driver of the pickup did not report any injuries.
There were no other individuals or passengers involved in the collision.
The crash is under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and the Crash Investigation Team. Assisting at the scene were the Neosho First Responders and Fire Department, Hartford EMS and Fire Department, Flight for Life, DCERT, and the Sheriff’s Office Chaplain.
