UPDATE | Name released in fatal Sheboygan County accident | By Sgt. Timothy McNeil

July 1, 2024 – Sheboygan Co. WI – Update from Sunday, June 30, 2024, when at approximately 1:10 p.m., the Sheboygan County Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call about a two-vehicle accident near the intersection of County Road S and State Highway 67, in the Town of Plymouth.

The deceased has been identified as 61-year-old Michael P. Murphy of Saukville, WI.

June 30, 2024 – Sheboygan Co., WI – On Sunday, June 30, 2024 at approximately 1:10 pm, the Sheboygan County Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call in reference to a two-vehicle accident near the intersection of County Road S and State Highway 67, in the Town of Plymouth.

 Preliminary investigation indicated that a 61-year-old male from Saukville was operating a 2014 Hyundai SUV east on State Highway 67 when a 53-year-old male from Plymouth was operating a 2016 GMC Pick-up was traveling west on State Highway 67 and turned south onto County Road S; colliding with the eastbound vehicle.

The Saukville man was pronounced deceased at the scene.  

12-year-old passenger in the Hyundai was transported via Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.  Alcohol appears to be a factor in the accident.  No further information will be released until sometime after 10 a.m. on Monday, July 1, 2024.

The following public safety agencies assisted in this incident: Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin State Patrol, Plymouth Police Department, Greenbush Fire Department, Plymouth Jaws for Life, Elkhart Lake First RespondersGlenbeulah First Responders, Orange Cross Ambulance, Sheboygan County Highway Department and Flight for Life.
