April 23, 2024 – Dodge Co., WI – An update on a story from April 14, 2024, when a single motorcycle crash involving serious injury to the operator, a Beaver Dam man, in the township of Calamus, Dodge County, WI.
April 14, 2024 – Dodge Co., WI – On April 14, 2024, at approximately 1:16 a.m., deputies from the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Owl Road in the town of Calamus for a crash involving a single motorcycle operated by a 37-year-old male from the city of Beaver Dam. An individual who lives in the area found the motorcycle and the operator in a field and called 911.
Once deputies arrived, life-saving measures, including CPR for about 8 minutes by Deputy Dylan Ott, were performed to resuscitate the driver in collaboration with Beaver Dam Fire/Paramedics.
The male was transported to Marshfield Medical Center in Beaver Dam by Beaver Dam Paramedics. He was then transported to UW-Health in Madison by medical helicopter with life-threatening injuries.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor.
The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.

UPDATE TO ORIGINAL PRESS RELEASE:
April 23, 2024 – Dodge Co., WI – The driver of the motorcycle has been identified as Thomas Davis of Beaver Dam and the crash is now being investigated as a fatal crash as Thomas Davis has succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
