UPDATE: Accident on Hwy 33 with Flight for Life

  Washington County Sheriff

The Washington County Sheriff’s responded to a single vehicle accident on Hwy 33 near the West Bend Municipal Air Port today at 7:19am. The driver, identified as a 36-year-old Colgate man, was east bound and traveled left of center for an undetermined reason.

The man’s vehicle, a red Chevrolet Cavalier, almost struck two west bound vehicles by traveling right between them before going off road left.

The driver then struck a driveway embankment, went airborne, and came to rest in the north ditch.

First Responders located him partially ejected out the passenger side window and semi-conscious.  The investigation determined he may have lost consciousness as he was attempting to exit the vehicle.

The driver was transported to Froedtert in Milwaukee by Flight for Life. Driver condition may have been a factor in the accident and it remains under investigation.
