West Bend, WI – Community team building was on full display this week as a force of 400 volunteers gathered to assemble 15,000 snack packs as part of a 2024 United Way of Washington County campaign kickoff event.
The snack packs will be distributed to local nonprofits and schools.

Dressed in matching shirts and company logos participants used an assembly-line process to efficiently pack small bags of cookies, crackers, and random snacks into plastic packets, seal it, label it, and box it.
Volunteers rallied throughout Monday afternoon with cheers of encouragement and strong leadership.
The volume of snack packages doubled the amount assembled last year due to increased need.
“We’re excited to bring together so many different companies to work together to help their neighbors in need,” said United Way CEO Kristin Brandner.
