September 17, 2024 – Dodge Co., WI – On Sunday, September 15, 2024, at approximately 4:55 p.m. the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a serious motor vehicle crash on US Highway 151 at the intersection of County Road C in the town of Trenton.
Preliminary investigation shows that a 2017 Nissan Rogue operated by Jenny Wolc, 31, of Waupun was traveling East on County Road C when it entered the southbound lanes of US Highway 151 striking a southbound 2022 Kia Stinger operated by a 53-year-old male from Middleton.
Wolc suffered serious injuries and was transported from the scene by the Beaver Dam Fire Department to the Marshfield Medical Center in Beaver Dam. She was later flown by Flight for Life to UW Hospital in Madison. As a result of the investigation, she was arrested for misdemeanor Operating While Under the Influence of an Intoxicant.

The operator of the 2022 Kia Stinger was uninjured as a result of the crash and released at the scene.
All persons are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Assisting at the scene were the Dodge County Emergency Response Team, the Beaver Dam Police Department, and the Beaver Dam Fire Department.
Additional related information regarding this intersection: The Intersection of US 151 and County C is planned to be under construction beginning in May of 2025 with a new R-Cut design which will minimize potential crash impact points to increase safety of this intersection.
Sheriff Dale Schmidt would like to thank Wisconsin State Representative Mark Born for his work on prioritizing this project given the recent issues at the intersection.
Additionally, the work of the Dodge County Traffic Safety Commission led by Captain Scott Smith of the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and the Dodge County Highway Commissioner, Brian Field, has also helped to bring this intersection’s needs to the forefront of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation who is ultimately responsible for the traffic flow of US 151.
While it is unfortunate that another crash has occurred at this intersection, it is encouraging that there is a plan in sight to help make Dodge County Highways safer.
