West Bend, WI – A record number of tractors turned out for the annual Wisconsin Antique Power Reunion Tractor Show held this year at the West Bend Elevator on Highway D in West Bend, WI.
“We love tearing these tractors apart and bringing them back to new,” said organizer Bill Hinckley.
“This one is a Depression tractor,” said Hinckley. “It’s a 1928 Chevy truck that was made into a tractor and they put bigger tires on the back end and put another transmission in and they actually work the fields with these things. They couldn’t afford a tractor but they had the truck; they could still go to town but they could also do the field work.”
There were 106 tractors at the Saturday show at West Bend Elevator.
“This is just great,” said Doug Gonring of West Bend Elevator. “The show has brought a lot of people to the Elevator and some have never even been into the store. One young person said they thought this is where they sold elevators.”
