Jan. 13, 2017 – West Bend, WI – The UW-WC Wildcats played host to UW-Marathon on Friday. Both teams started with some back-and-forth play and by the end of the first quarter UW-Marathon led 18-13. That lead increased as UW-Marathon led 35-20 at the half.
Eventually, UW-Marathon push its lead to 35, and won with a final score or 74-42.
The Wildcats struggled to shoot the ball all night finishing the game at 27 percent from the field. They were out rebounded 52-22 and only got to the line three times.
The Wildcats did force 17 turnovers and had 9 steals.
UW-Washington County was led by Megan Breuer and Ciara Dricken with 11 points a piece. Kim Zimmel led the team with five assists, and Kaytie Lighthizer led the Wildcats with three steals.
The Wildcats next game is away versus UW-Rock on Wednesday, Jan. 18.
