Hartford/Slinger, WI – ON Thursday April 15, 2021, the City of Hartford and the Village of Slinger will participate in the Statewide Tornado Drill.

The warning sirens will be activated in conjunction with the National Weather Service drill at approximately 1:45 p.m.  The automated media interruptions for cell phones, weather alert radios, television and radios will not take place this year but the tornado sirens will sound.

Many in the media will choose to participate and inform the public but it will not include the automated system interruption as in the past.  This is a great time to practice and/or review your severe weather protocol for your facility.
The City of Hartford and Village of Slinger share the emergency weather warning system and have recently updated the system to enhance its capabilities.  The collaborative effort has saved the two communities thousands of dollars while still providing the service to residents and visitors of both communities.
Please see the attached information sheet from the National Weather Service and pass this information on as you feel appropriate.
