West Bend, Wi – West Bend Children’s Theatre is celebrating its 92nd Season in 2025 with the musical How I Became a Pirate.
The tale is about how Jeremy Jacobs meets and joins Braid Beard the pirate and his motley crew for adventure and treasure is great fun and full of surprises.
Closed auditions will be Monday, January 6 and Tuesday, January 7 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. in the Silverbrook Intermediate School Choir Room. Callbacks will be Wednesday, January 8 only if needed.
Most roles in this production are for adults, with a limited number for children over age 10. You only need to attend one audition date. Read through will be January 12 at 6 p.m.
Show dates are Wednesday, April 9 through Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the Silver Lining Arts Center at West Bend High School. Please note that to be cast, you will need to be available to perform during the day as most shows run during the school day. However, rehearsals for How I Became a Pirate will be in the evenings and some Saturdays beginning in February.
West Bend Children’s Theatre is the oldest continually running community theatre group in the area, dating back to 1933. It is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization with the mission of presenting an annual, live musical theater experience to area school children as well as awarding scholarships to local high school seniors.
