Slinger, WI – It was March 2022 when the announcement was made that Sweet Creations Village Bakery, 310 E. Washington Street, was closing. If you want to have a final experience of doughy goodness, you’ll have to step it up as owner Derek Van Alstyne, is closing the store Sunday, May 1, 2022.

There is an accepted offer to purchase on the building with the final sale to be held mid-April. I would like to thank you for 22 years of service. It is time for the next chapter of my life. The final day of business for Sweet Creations Village Bakery will be Sunday, May 1, 2022.

In addition, there will be a large liquidation sale of all furniture, fixtures, and collectibles in May. Everything must go.
After the sale, there will be an online auction on any remaining equipment, furniture, fixtures, and collectibles mid-June. Watch for signs and on social media for dates of sale.
Sweet Creations Village Bakery opened in Slinger in 2000. There were a couple satellite locations in West Bend, including a store at 825 S. Main St.
It was December 18, 2018 when Sweet Creations closed its West Bend store. A note in our archives reads, “Today is the last day for Sweet Creations Village Bakery in West Bend, 825 S. Main Street, is closing. A note was posted on the window of the business thanking customers for “years of loyalty and patronage.” Owner Derek Van Alstyne said the store in Slinger, 310 E. Washington Street, will remain open and gift cards may be redeemed at that location. Sweet Creations Bakery in West Bend opened in June 2013.”
