Fifth Annual Sunflower Challenge in Washington County; check out latest submission

Washington Co., WI – It’s that time of year when sunflowers are in full glory and Washington County has an opportunity to show off their sunflowers.

Sent in by his Mom, Kristin Brei, 3-year-old Isaiah sits atop a John Deere at a sunflower farm in northeastern Wisconsin. They sure grow ’em cute here in Wisconsin.

Ah! Sunflower

Ah! sunflower, weary of time,
Who countest the steps of the sun,
Seeking after that sweet golden clime
Where the traveller’s journey is done;

Where the youth pined away with desire,
And the pale virgin shrouded in snow,
Arise from their graves and aspire;
Where my sunflower wishes to go.
