August 24, 2017 – Washington Co., WI – After posting the Mighty Tiger Lily Challenge there have been quite a few people weighing in on when will there be a chance to post their giant sunflowers.
It appears the growing season has been spectacular for sunflowers. At Cedar Ridge my dad and I found a huge sunflower in the community garden. We didn’t have a yardstick so I asked if I could jump on his shoulders for a selfie. That didn’t go over well… so he just stood with his arm outstretched in hopes you could visualize a measurement.
It’s about 8-feet tall…. give or take an inch or two.
