Town of Trenton, Wi – Students at Ozaukee Christian School in the Town of Trenton, presented Missionary Brad Hayes from Outstretched Hands of Romania with a huge gift this week during morning chapel.

Hayes travels around the world raising awareness about the organization that helps 800+ children in Romania with food, shelter, medical needs and education.

During Hayes visit OCS students with Building Our Leaders through Discipleship (BOLD) groups were challenged by the head of the school Kris Austin to create events that would raise money for students on the other side of the world.
With the help of teachers and parents, students held bake sales, did extra chores at home, and the money raised went to the mission’s Christmas Bags project.
“The kindergarten raised $1,089.42 and that translates into 189 bags,” said Austin. “We’re going to give you the actual bags to fill, so kindergarten come bring them on up please.”
With that, students poured to the front of the chapel dropping light blue OCS cinch sacks on the table in front of Hayes.

“Students went way above what was expected,” Austin said.
Hayes estimated it will cost him $10 to fill each bag.
“We decided to actually give him the number of OCS cinch sacks, that he can actually use, that represents the funds earned,” said Austin.  “The kindergarten class will present him with 160 bags alone. We had to order a bunch more bags this week!”
Hayes was overwhelmed with the generosity. “Wow this is this is great. I didn’t imagine it would be this this much,” he said. “They did awesome.”
