Slinger, WI – New student registration for the 2025-2026 school year is now open in the Slinger School District for district resident families.
The Slinger School District offers half-day, 4-year-old kindergarten for students who are four years of age by September 1, 2025, and full-day 5-year-old kindergarten for students who are five years of age by September 1, 2025.
The Slinger School District has exciting news for 4-year-old kindergarten families.
NEW for the 2025-2026 school year, the district will offer a parent-pay, on-site, wrap-around program called Owlet Adventures for students in 4-year-old kindergarten needing childcare opposite of their half day of school. For families living outside of the school district boundaries who are interested in enrolling in a Slinger school (4K-12th), the open enrollment application period for the 2025-2026 school year is February 3, 2025, through April 30, 2025.
NEW FOR 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR
The Slinger School District introduces Owlet Adventures, a 4K (4-year-old kindergarten) wrap-around care program, providing convenient onsite programming for 4K students during the half of their day when they are not in their traditional 4K classes. This program will encourage physical, emotional, and social growth through play and recreation.
Children will participate in arts and crafts, group games, puzzles, story time, quiet/rest time, music, free time, and more.
Owlet Adventures is only available to students enrolled in 4K through the Slinger School
District, and is not open to the general public. In accordance with state statute and district
policy, no child will be admitted to 4-year-old kindergarten unless he/she is four years old on or before September 1 in the year he/she proposes to enter school.
Enrollment Details
○ Enrollment for Slinger School District’s 4-year-old half-day kindergarten will begin on
January 2, 2025, and is completed online HERE under “New Student Enrollment”
○ Registration for Owlet Adventures will be an included within the school district’s New
Student Enrollment process and will be available ONLY for individuals who complete
their 4-year-old kindergarten enrollment between 1/2/25-1/31/25
○ For district planning purposes, Owlet Adventures registration will close at 4:00 PM on
January 31, 2025; but 4-year-old half-day kindergarten enrollment will remain open
through summer
○ Owlet Adventures final enrollment will be confirmed and communicated by February 10,
2025; families will be charged a non-refundable $55 registration fee at that time to
secure their spot
Fees
○ The cost for Owlet Adventures is $4,500/child for the school year
○ $1,125 will be billed quarterly 8/29/2025, 11/4/2025, 1/22/2026, and 4/7/2026
○ No refunds for vacations, sick days, snow days, other non-school days, etc.
○ Students may bring a lunch from home or purchase hot lunch from school ($2.65/day)
Schedule
○ The schedule will follow the School District Calendar
○ This program is designed for families who need wrap-around care five days a week
○ There are no a la carte scheduling options
Additional Information
○ Program availability is dependent on having enough interest/enrollment and the district’s
capacity
■ If interest is low across the district, it may be offered at just one school, with a
shuttle service provided for students attending non-participating schools
■ If interest is high, we may need to utilize a lottery system
○ Due to the nature of the program, staff cannot provide one-on-one support or
individualized care (behaviorally or medically)
○ Students must be potty trained and independent in the bathroom

Please note: If you enroll in Owlet Adventures and require additional care before 8:45 a.m. or after 3:45 p.m. you must also register for Kool Kids, which is a before and after school care program offered through Kool Kids Club Inc.
