April 15, 2023 – Washington Co., WI – Dark clouds starting to roll through the southern part of Washington County, WI as storms make their way through.

According to the National Weather Service:

A chance of rain and thunderstorms, then rain likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 5pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 79. South wind around 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tonight – Rain and thunderstorms likely, then rain and possibly a thunderstorm after 4am. Low around 53. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southeast after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Sunday – Rain likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Cloudy, with a temperature falling to around 44 by 5pm. South wind 10 to 15 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
Sunday Night – Snow, possibly mixed with rain, becoming all snow after 4 a.m.

Low around 29. Breezy, with a west wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.

At 3:37 p.m. there was a lightning strike followed by a sharp rumble of thunder and winds starting to pick up.

Monday – Snow likely before 10am, then snow likely, possibly mixed with rain. Cloudy, with a high near 36. Windy, with a northwest wind 20 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
