August 27, 2021 – Washington Co., WI – A small but noisy storm cell is moving across the northern portion of Washington County this Friday afternoon.
Strong thunder is rumbling through the community along with scattered showers.
The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning until 5:30 p.m. for Washington and neighboring Dodge counties.
Scattered thunderstorms will continue this evening across southern Wisconsin. A few storms will be strong to severe and pose a threat for damaging winds and large hail. Heavy rain will accompany any shower or thunderstorm activity.
An Air Quality Alert for Ozone has been issued by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources until 11 p.m. this evening, August 27, 2021, for people living in the counties of Washington, Ozaukee, Sheboygan, and Waukesha.

Heat index values will flirt with 100 degrees in spots, mostly along and just north of the Wisconsin and Illinois Stateline Saturday.
Additional rounds of thunderstorms remain possible over the weekend, especially Saturday night through Sunday evening as a cold front drops southeast across central and southern Wisconsin.
