State Representative Jeremy Thiesfeldt said he is waiting for the results of a state audit on the Department of Transportation before he starts thinking about ways of increasing the funding for road projects.
The state lawmaker from Fond du Lac said he knows from talking with other legislators that there is waste with some road projects and projects that don’t need to be done.
He said most people he’s spoken with would prefer an increase in the gasoline tax to other ways of funding road projects.
