Obituary | Sonny Steven Kearns, beloved 3-month-old, of West Bend, WI

August 5, 2022West Bend, WI – Our precious little angel, Sonny Steven Kearns, beloved 3-month-old son of Austin and Samantha Kearns, unexpectedly went to Heaven on Monday, August 1, 2022. Sonny passed away in the arms of his favorite person on Earth, his mommy, at Children’s Hospital of Milwaukee.

Sonny was born on April 29, 2022 into a family of so much love. He was the sweetest little boy with a soul full of sunshine. His big, beautiful smile brightened up every room. Sonny’s Daddy, Mommy, big brothers and sister couldn’t have loved him anymore, their sweet Sonny baby and now forever guardian angel.

Sonny is survived by his loving parents; Austin and Samantha; siblings, Brady, Kenny and Ruby; grandparents, Steven Kearns, Jean Breuer, Kent and Sandy Lisko; aunts and uncles, Kevin and Mindy Emmer, Travis and Monica Kearns, Doug and Tanya Blaty; cousins, Kallen, Kashton, Mayla, Charli, Kylie, Madi, Jackson.

He is further survived by many other relatives and friends who loved and adored him.

Sonny is preceded in death by his four great-grandfathers, Walter Breuer, Marvin Hamm, Willie Lisko and Robert Kearns; and great-grandmother Isabell Lisko.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 10, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Dr. West Bend, WI 53095). Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, August 11, 2022 at 11 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church (200 E. Washington St. Slinger, WI 53086) with Rev. Richard Stoffel presiding. Interment will follow Mass at New St. Peter Cemetery.

A special thank you to all the first responders and the healthcare professionals of the Froedtert West Bend Hospital Emergency Department and the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin ICU. Sonny was in the best hands with so many caring people.

The family feels the outpouring of love and support from relatives, friends, and the community.

To Sonny, we are so honored to be your Mommy and Daddy. We wish we didn’t have to say goodbye so soon, but we will forever cherish our precious 3 months together. We love you forever and ever.
