Slinger girls tennis wins Washington County Invitational | By Natalie Stuettgen

August 26, 2024 – The Slinger Owls girls tennis team had a very successful day at the Washington County Invitational over the weekend.

Number 1 singles, Rachel Olafsson, No. 3 doubles, Aubree Leis and Alicia Wheeler, and No. 4 singles, Natalie Stuettgen, all finished first in their separate brackets bringing home four gold medals for the team.

Number 1 doubles, Emory Kearns and Breeana Stern, finished second in their bracket earning the pair silver medals.

Number 3 singles, Natalie Nickel, finished third in her bracket and she won a bronze medal. 

Finally, No. 2 singles, Taylor Longdin, and No. 2 doubles, Megan Pfiefer and Addison Gresbach, finished first in the consolation brackets also bringing home medals.

Despite the heat and troubles on the court, the Slinger girls tennis team was able to top the 8-team field and win the Washington County Invitational with 29 points.
