Slinger girls basketball team drops Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes | By Ron Naab

November 27, 2019 – Slinger, WI – The Slinger High School girls basketball team came from behind to beat the Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes at home Tuesday night, 54-40.
The first half of the Slinger vs. Whitefish Bay game was a challenge for the Lady Owls.
The Blue Dukes held a narrow lead, 26 – 25, as the Lady Owls trailed since the opening tip.
After the break and apparently an inspiring half-time speech by coach Tony Dobson the Lady Owls took its first lead and never looked back.
The Lady Owls outscored WFB in the second half 29 – 14.
Five Lady Owls scored 3-pointers including two from freshman Mallory Hoitink.
Leading scorers for the Owls were Samantha Gueller with 11 and Anna Breuer with 10.
Next up will be a big night for Slinger H.S. basketball as the Hartford Orioles comes to town.
The girls varsity will tip off at 5:45 p.m. and the boys at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3.
