January 17, 2021 – Slinger, Wi – The Slinger Lady Owls hosted a feisty Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes on Saturday, January 16. At the end of the first half the Blue Dukes were ahead 14 to 12. Both teams displayed very strong defensive plays.
Coming out of the break, Slinger went back to a man-to-man defense and took control of the game holding Whitefish Bay to 8 points while Slinger charged ahead with 26 points.
Final score was Slinger 38 and the Blue Dukes 22.
Leading scorer for the Blue Dukes was sophomore Zoe Behrendt with 8.
Leading the Lady Owls was sophomore Mallory Hoitink with 15 and junior Samantha Goeller with 9.
Next up Slinger will host the Homestead Highlanders on Tuesday night.
