West Bend, WI – For two straight hours neighbors from across Washington County patiently lined up to drop off their paper recyclables and help support the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight … and boy did the volunteers at Horicon Bank on Paradise Drive in West Bend, WI, notice the kindness and generous spirit.
For two hours, vehicle after vehicle passed through the line, dropping off boxes and bags of papers to be recycled and in turn neighbors offered generous donations to veterans who served to fight for this country’s freedom.

Scouts, veterans, and volunteers assisted with the event. All money raised will go directly to the Stars & Stripes Honor Flight which flies veterans to Washington D.C. for a day to visit memorials and view the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery.
