West Bend, WI – After recently siring four adorable tiger cubs, Shalom Wildlife Sanctuary’s papa Jona is ready for his new home and life of leisure.
Let’s take a walk-through:

There are almost two acres with an 8-foot-deep spring-fed pond for Jona to take a swim on a hot summer day, shade trees, and rock formations.
There are huge white oak logs for Jona to climb and to keep his claws in tip-top condition.
There is also a stone stairway to the hilltop for star gazing, snoozing, and just keeping an eye on everything happening in the zoo.
The galvanized steel fence is 16 feet high and has a hot wire at the halfway point. Even though tigers are ground cats, it’s better to exercise caution on the safe side.
A small mammal barrier was placed at the base of the fence to help prevent some of the local wild critters from entering by accident.
If you see zookeepers, Joel, Eric, Nate, and Logan out and about during your visit, please take a moment and give them a big thank you; they worked on the project nonstop in all weather conditions to get the tiger habitat done in record time.
Even the ostrich are excited to get a new neighbor.
