Washington County, WI – Your basement, whether it’s finished or unfinished, may need
more insurance coverage than is provided by your current homeowners’ policy. Be sure to get the coverage that protects your belongings in case your sewer backs up or your sump
pump fails.
You’ve worked hard for your home. So, in the event of the unexpected, you’ll want to be sure you have the coverage you need to get back on track with minimum out-of-pocket expenses — that’s where the team at American Family Insurance, 850 E. Paradise Dr., West Bend, WI comes in.
When the sewer or septic system doesn’t flow normally, or work correctly, it may back up into your basement.
You may have a sump system, located in your basement, to remove water that accumulates in or around your home. If part of the system fails or the power goes out, water around the foundation isn’t removed and may overflow into the basement.
This coverage is designed to assist you in the event either of these two systems fails to work properly.
