West Bend, Wi – Two iconic West Bend non-profit organizations, Senior Citizens Activities Inc. and West Bend Sunrise Rotary, are pairing up to offer a sweet ride in the 2021 Classics for a Cause Car Raffle fundraiser.
A 2007 Shelby Mustang will be raffled off in a drawing to be held at Regner Park after the Christmas Parade on November 28. There are less than 4,000 miles on this ‘grabber orange’ beauty with gray racing stripes and a black interior.
The car will be on display and tickets will be sold at various events throughout the area. Check the website for the latest on where the car will be on display.
Funds raised will support activities at the Senior Center and additional local non-profit charities in the area via West Bend Sunrise Rotary. Tickets are $20 each or 6 for $100. Only 10,000 tickets will be sold. You can get yours at any event listed on the website, J L Business Interiors, Jeff’s Spirits on Main, Bob’s Main Street Auto, or the Senior Center at 2378 W. Washington Avenue in West Bend.
About Senior Citizens Activities, Inc.
Senior Citizens Activities, Inc. (SCAI) also known as the Senior Center of West Bend has been an important part of the West Bend community since 1967. SCAI is dedicated to providing a place where seniors (age 50+) in the West Bend area can find friends, fitness activities, education, and volunteer opportunities.
The Senior Center offers over 15 opportunities per week to engage in physical activity or fitness classes. In addition to Pickleball, there are Yoga and Chi Kung classes as well as classes focused on balance and arthritis. There are also over 20 opportunities per week to gather for cards (Sheepshead, Euchre, Pinochle) crafts (jewelry making, card making, quilting, knitting), or other games (Scrabble, Mah Jongg, and Dominoes).
Woodcarving and various art classes are also offered. In 2019 over 500 individuals took advantage of their services and spent over 15,000 hours at the Center. SCAI programming is focused on supporting both the physical and emotional health of our participants. They offer a wide variety of health and wellness programs, educational programs, and social activities for seniors in West Bend, and surrounding communities.
