West Bend High School class of 1961 is planning a 55-year reunion.
Back in 1961 the Soviets put the first man, Yuri Gagarin, in space followed by the U.S. with Alan Shepard.
Popular music included Chubby Checker’s “Pony Time” and “Will You Love Me Tomorrow” by the Shirelles, and top movies included “West Side Story” and “The Parent Trap.”
The West Bend High School class of 1961 reunion will be held September 24 at The Columbian.
Out of approximately 260 class members, the reunion committee has lost contact with the following 5 classmates:

Here is a picture from our 50th class reunion back in 2011. I do not have names for all the ladies pictured, but they are all members of our class of 1961 (having a good time.)
We are expecting a large turnout this year for what might be our final reunion.
Our foreign exchange student, Nelson Willrich and his wife, are flying in from Brazil for the reunion.
