Rick Heisler recognized for commitment to hunter safety | By Rep. Ty Bodden

Campbellsport, WI – Assembly Rep. Ty Bodden and State Senator Duey Strobel recognized Rick Heisler for his dedication to community service especially in the area of hunter safety.

A proclamation issued by state representatives is below.

WHEREAS, Rick Heisler of Campbellsport, Wisconsin, has demonstrated unwavering commitment and dedication to hunter safety education for over four decades; and

WHEREAS, Rick Heisler has been a cornerstone of the community, certifying over 3,000 students through traditional classes and adapting to online plus field day courses to reach a wider audience; and

WHEREAS, Rick Heisler’s tireless efforts and exceptional service were recognized by the Department of Natural Resources, awarding him the prestigious 2022 Wisconsin DNR Hunter Safety Instructor of the Year Award in March of 2023; and

WHEREAS, Rick Heisler’s continued dedication was further acknowledged by the Wisconsin Wildlife Federation, presenting him with the WWF Hunter Safety Instructor of the Year Award on April 15, 2023; and

WHEREAS, Rick Heisler’s impact extends beyond his teaching role, as he has advocated for policy changes at the state level, contributing to the passage of legislation such as Assembly Bill 270 unanimously on the Assembly floor;

WHEREAS, that this Assembly extends its sincere congratulations and deepest appreciation to Rick Heisler for his exemplary service, outstanding contributions, and unwavering dedication to the safety and education of hunters in Wisconsin and for his community involvement and commitment.

THEREFORE, be it resolved, that Representative Ty Bodden and Senator Duey Stroebel, on behalf of the Wisconsin State Legislature, hereby, wholeheartedly expresses its deepest appreciation and profound recognition for the extraordinary contributions and the exemplary service of Rick Heisler.

His indelible mark on his family, community, and state stands as a testament to a life well-lived and a legacy that will endure for generations to come.
