On Wednesday, July 27, Slinger High School Class of 2016 honors graduate, Hannah Mrozak or Richfield will be spending the evening of her 18th birthday singing in the Lakeshore’s Rising Stars competition taking place in Manitowoc at the Capitol Civic Centre.

Mrozak is one of six remaining singers in the 9-week competition.

In Week 5, Mrozak was awarded the first four perfect 10s scores by the judges. The winner of Lakeshore’s Rising Stars competition receives a $10,000 prize.

Though young, Hannah is no stranger to performing or competition. She has been singing since she was 6.

She performs at pubs, restaurants, craft fairs, and festivals.

Mrozak, 17, is dressed professionally and confidence helps her look and act like the adult she is assumed to be.

She has sung the National Anthem at Milwaukee Brewers, Admirals and Bucks games.

Mrozak has plans to try out for The Voice this fall. She describes her style as R&B/pop and is influenced by Ariana Grande, the Beatles, and Beyoncé. She enjoys listening to The 1975.

In addition to pursuing a music career, Mrozak is enrolled in Aveda’s Esthiology program starting this fall although her ideal job would be working with a plastic surgeon.

Years of competition and performing with and without a band have made Mrozak a very poised and confident young woman.

Fresh out of bed this morning after a very late-night competition, you would never have guessed she had been up until after 3 a.m.

Her nails were polished and she had a light henna design on one hand.
