September 9, 2022 – Richfield, WI – Nominations from the agricultural community will be shared with the Village President in September and be brought before the Village Board at the regularly scheduled meeting on September 15, 2022, at 7 p.m., lower level of the Richfield Village Hall 4128 Hubertus Road, Hubertus, WI.
At the Village Board meeting on July 21, 2022, the Village Board discussed the creation of an Agricultural Subcommittee to ensure the continuation of clear lines of communication with this important industry in our community following the approval of the new Zoning Code.
At this meeting, the Board discussed several policy decisions related to setting up this Subcommittee including what members of the community should sit on the Subcommittee, how many individuals should sit on the Subcommittee, when the Subcommittee meetings should be held, etc.

The Village Board is of the opinion that this Subcommittee should be made up of seven (7) individuals and limited to only Village residents. These residents shall consist of two (2) Village Board Members, two (2) Village Plan Commission Members, and three (3) members of the agricultural community. There will also be an additional member of the agricultural community who will sit on the Subcommittee and participate in all discussions but will only vote as an “Alternate” if another representative from the agricultural community is absent.
It was also discussed that the Subcommittee will be meeting in late fall/winter which could be more advantageous to fit the schedules of the members from the agricultural community.
