April 2, 2022 – West Bend, WI – There was quite the rumbling Friday… April 1… in downtown West Bend, WI as a banner for The Oaken Hogg hung conspicuously close to the entrance of The Antidote, 302 N. Main Street.
“Me and Dave from Oaken Hogg are playing an April Fools joke on everybody,” said Wesley Feest, owner of the Antidote. “Dave posted on social media that he was reopening at The Antidote. That’s our little game.”

What’s going to happen is the Oaken Hogg will eventually find a home at a new location.. but until then… “For now I’m fostering Dave and his employees,” said Feest. “It will be called Oaken Hogg at The Antidote on Wednesday nights; every Wednesday customers can get the Oaken Hogg menu. Our menu will be available too but you can have the specialty cocktails from Oaken Hogg on Wednesdays.”
Feest is also fostering with Chef Gregg Des Rosier and Tochi Ramen. “We know each other so well and we wanted to keep the Tochi name alive in West Bend so Gregg allows me to cook a partial menu,” said Feest. “He lets us use his name and recipes for just one night; this menu is available on Thursdays.”
Tochi had a 6-year run in West Bend. Des Rosier has now moved his restaurant to Sheboygan.
