REAL ESTATE | The Braising Pan will return…

October 3, 2022 – West Bend, WI – Heather Ford and her Braising Pan family gathered over the weekend to comfort one another and make a decision on the future.
The locally owned restaurant on N. Main Street was lost in a fire on Thursday, September 29, 2022. Nobody was injured; however, the building was a total lost.

“We are going to be moving forward, and we will be back for sure,” said Ford. “Where and how, we’re not quite sure yet but we will be back.”

Ford said although most employees looked fine, everyone was still in mourning. “There is a sense of positivity and that’s the best I could hope for,” said Ford.

People with questions about gift certificates, Ford said. “Just hold onto the gift cards and gift certificates. Don’t worry about the expiration date… when we reopen, they will be good.”

Ford is working through her insurance and working with the building owners.

She said she is blown away by all the support and well wishes and she has a special thanks for all the firefighters. “They really did all they could do, and they went above and beyond to get anything out of that building,” said Ford.

Ford did confirm the investigators said the fire was still under review, however they reassured her it “was not arson.”

Several other businesses in the strip mall were also damaged in the fire. An update will be posted when details become available.
