The national retailer is the fourth of four stores in the former Shopko strip on S. Main Street.

According to management, all stores are closing including the Big Lots! in Menomonee Falls, Fond du Lac, Sheboygan, and West Bend.  The store on S. 27th Street in Milwaukee will reportedly remain open.

Timeline of closing, according to store management, is dependent on sales of stock. Early word is October 2024 may be the target date.

Big Lots! opened in the north end cap of the former ShopKo building. That site was divided into several sections where a variety of franchises opened over the past year.

Big Lots! originally opened in West Bend on January 26, 2023.

 Big Lots, Inc. hosted a grand opening Saturday, Feb. 11, 2023 where shoppers took advantage of doorbuster offers, scratch-off cards were distributed to the first 100 customers with the potential of up to $250 off a purchase.

The store in West Bend, WI is 34,627 square feet and offers furniture and home décor items, plus a variety of products from national brands and an assortment of private labels all under one roof.
