Update from press conference on 3 missing teens (photo left) in Neda Mine Bat Habernaculum in Iron Ridge: Authorities say the area around the mine is a wooded and rocky area, making this a difficult search. Search and rescue dogs are also being employed in the effort.
The DNR is engaged in the search and has thermal imaging they are using from a from plane.
A representative from the mine stated the old iron mine is cold, staying at about 50 degrees, and is home to over 100,000 bats, and that if the boys are in the mine, it may have been difficult to find their way out.
If you have any information as to the whereabouts of the young men, call the Dodge County Sheriff’s office at (920) 386-3726.
