Dec. 10, 2018 – Washington Co., WI – A 16-year-old boy from Sussex was critically injured following a multi-vehicle accident in Washington County.
According to Washington County Sheriff Dale Schmidt the accident happened Friday afternoon, Dec. 7 at 3:38 p.m. in Richfield.
Authorities said there was a vehicle northbound on Hwy 164 just south of Monches Road.
The northbound vehicle made a pass and was in the southbound lane when the first southbound car driven by a 47-year-old woman from Hartford, took evasive action but hit the rear of the oncoming vehicle on the driver’s side.
The northbound car continued and hit the next vehicle head on.
Driver of the northbound vehicle, a 16-year-old boy from Sussex, was transported to Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee with numerous injuries.
The driver of the southbound vehicle, a 71-year-old man from Menomonee Falls, suffered internal injuries.
The accident remains under investigation by the Washington County Sheriff’s Department.
