April 30, 2024 – Jackson, Wi – UPDATE- Jackson Police initiated a pursuit of a vehicle around 8:55 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2024. According to West Bend Police that pursuit north on Jackson Drive extended into West Bend where police deployed spike strips on River Road.
The tires on the vehicle were punctured at Decorah Road and eventually the driver stopped at River Road and Creek Drive and was taken into custody without further incident.

Jackson Police issued the statement below.
On Tuesday, April 30, the Jackson Police Department was called reference an individual driving the wrong way on Hwy 60 in the construction zone.
Officers responded and located the vehicle as it was going north on Jackson Drive. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle, and it continued north on Jackson Drive, failing to yield. A pursuit ensued and the suspect vehicle tires were spiked by the City of West Bend Police Department. The driver, a 26-year-old Milwaukee man, was taken into custody.
This pursuit was ended safely due to the help of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the West Bend Police Department. We would like to extend our appreciation to those departments for their assistance.
