May 10, 2024 – Fond du Lac, WI – On Thursday, May 9, 2024, at approximately 10:09 p.m., the City of Fond du Lac Police Department (FDLPD) responded to 18 E. Division St, 18 Hands Ale Haus, for a report of an individual who had forcefully taken money from inside the business and threatened to assault the bartender.
As FDLPD Officers arrived, they located the lone bartender who was uninjured, and learned that the suspect had fled on foot after taking money from the register. FDLPD Officers searched the area and deployed a drone unit to attempt to locate the suspect, but were unable to locate him.
FDLPD Officers reviewed camera footage from inside the business and were able to identify the suspect as a 55-year-old Fond du Lac man known to FDLPD from prior contacts.
Searches for the suspect were ongoing throughout the evening and early morning hours.
The suspect was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with camouflaged-style pants.
On May 10, 2024, at approximately 6:18 a.m. FDL Police Department received a call from a passerby that the suspect was in the area of the 600 – 700 block of W. Johnson Street. FDLPD Officers flooded the area and took the suspect into custody without incident.
The 55-year-old suspect is facing multiple charges including robbery and bail jumping and was transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail.
