Jan. 26, 2019 – Dodge County, WI – On Saturday, January 26 6:45 a.m. the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of a pickup truck occupied by two males that went through the ice on Fox Lake, Township of Fox Lake, Dodge County.
Preliminary investigations shows that Kevin Kuhl, 45, from Cambria along with his passenger, Jeffrey Munro, 44, from Randolph were operating a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 traveling northwest from the boat launch at the Boat House Pub & Eatery on Chief Kuno Trail. Approximately 300-400 feet east of Maple Point on Fox Lake the Dodge Ram broke through the ice.
Both occupants were able to extricate themselves through the rear window of the pickup truck before it became fully submerged into 16-18 feet of water. Both occupants were able to walk back to The Boathouse Pub & Eatery and were met by Fox Lake EMS to be treated for abrasions to their hands and for exposure to the sub-zero temperatures.
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind everyone to verify ice conditions prior to driving on all lakes.

This incident was turned over to the Wisconsin DNR for further investigation.
