February 5, 2024 -West Bend, WI – A bit of excitement at Pick ‘n Save north this morning in West Bend, WI, as the store was evacuated due to reports of an odor of gas.
According to West Bend Police the initial call came in at 9:20 a.m. following a report of the smell of gas coming from the break room at 2518 W Washington St, West Bend, WI. The building was evacuated, the fire department responded and determined it was “sewer related.”
The fire department cleared the scene at 9:43 a.m. and shoppers and staff returned.
There is a big difference between natural gas smell and sewer gas.
