Photos of military mascots featured at History Center of Washington County

The History Center of Washington County is pleased to present a traveling exhibit from the Wisconsin Veterans Museum.

This traveling photo exhibit  features photos and information about the military mascots that are a large source of pride and morale for our troops.

According to WPR, “This exhibit highlights heartwarming photos and text in a pop-up banner format. The exhibit is funded in part by the Wisconsin Humanities Council with funds from the National Endowment for the Humanities.

By viewing the display, the entire family will learn more about Wisconsin military history, the sacrifices of the soldiers, and the contributions of a variety of military mascots.

Come see one of Wisconsin’s most famous mascot, “Old Abe” the war eagle that led the 8th Wisconsin Volunteer Regiment into battle during the Civil War.
