October 19, 2020 – Town of Germantown, WI – It appears alcohol was a factor in a single vehicle accident that occurred Sunday morning, October 18 in the Town of Germantown.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Department said one man, 58, from Oconto County was ejected from his vehicle after crashing through a guardrail at Highway 145 and County Road Y (Goldendale Road).
Photos released from the accident scene show the vehicle on its side after it rolled down a hill into a wooded area. The driver, and sole occupant of the vehicle, was ejected from the vehicle and pinned under it.

Initial investigation indicates the vehicle was traveling northbound on County Road Y and failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection with Highway 145 and crashed through the guardrail. Alcohol appears to be a factor in this crash. The roadway was closed for approximately 2.5 hours for extraction and vehicle removal.
Assisting agencies were the Germantown Police Department, Germantown Fire Department, Jackson Fire Department, Flight for Life, and WE Energies.
