Grandparents made sure to drink all their milk as they were invited to lunch with their grandchildren at Holy Angels School on Friday.   “It’s pretty lucky for me they can come to school and we get to hang out with them,” said 10-year-old Cade Kohnen.

“This is part of what makes this school so special,” said grandma Deb Gardner.

She and her husband Jim brought Qdoba for lunch and then spoiled their grand kids Ella, Jack, Joey and Cade with vanilla shakes from McDonald’s.

First grader Miles Beisbier was eating lunch with his grandpa.  “I have pretzels and donuts, pepperoni, a sandwich and strawberries,” said Miles.

Grandpa Frank Mueller, 66, came in from Batavia to have lunch with his grandson. “It’s fun to be with the grand kids,” he said.

Fourth grader Megan Minz, 10, spent time with her grandparents Jean and Jerry Pierre who drove in from Whitefish Bay.

“It’s fun to spend time with my grandparents and I really appreciate that they come to do this with me,” she said.

“We’ve been coming for 15 years,” said Jean Pierre. “It’s just wonderful to spend time with your grandchild and show how much you love and appreciate them.”
