Person suffers life-threatening injuries in 2-vehicle accident Wednesday in Dodge County

 

Nov. 29, 2017 – Dodge Co., WI –  On Nov. 29, 2017 at 11:06 a.m., the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle crash on State Highway 33 at the intersection with CTH V, in the Township of Hubbard, Dodge County, Wisconsin.

Preliminary investigation shows a Honda 4-door was traveling south on CTH V approaching the intersection with STH 33 (CTH V traffic is controlled by stop signs at the intersection with STH 33).

A  Peterbilt straight truck towing a trailer was traveling west on STH 33 approaching the intersection with CTH V.

The Honda entered the intersection and the two vehicles collided.

The operator of the Honda suffered life-threatening injuries and was flown to Aurora Hospital in Summit by Flight for Life.

The operator of the Peterbilt was not injured in the crash.

Assisting at the scene was:  Wisconsin State Patrol, Horicon Police, Beaver Dam Paramedics, Flight for Life, Dodge County Emergency Response Team, Dodge County Highway Department, Horicon EMS, Iron Ridge Fire and First Responders.

Identification of the persons involved is being withheld pending notification family members.

The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Crash Investigation Team.
