Nov. 19, 2018 – Menomonee Falls, WI – Neighbors in Washington County who are still begging for an Olive Garden will be happy to hear a new restaurant is being built in neighboring Menomonee Falls.
A release regarding the development is posted below from developer Cobalt Partners.
MILWAUKEE – (November 19, 2018) – Milwaukee-based Cobalt Partners today announced plans for construction of a new Olive Garden Restaurant at White Stone Station in Menomonee Falls. The 7,800 square-foot, Italian restaurant is proposed to be constructed along I-41 to the northwest of Froedtert and the Wisconsin Athletic Club.
Olive Garden is a full-service, casual dining restaurant that will serve both lunch and dinner. Designed to complement the overall architectural theme of White Stone Station, the restaurant will emphasize high-quality, personalized service, and flavorful entrees served in an inviting, comfortable atmosphere.
The project is scheduled to be reviewed by the Village’s Architectural Control Board in Menomonee Falls on November 27. Subject to required approvals, Cobalt is commencing site work immediately. Building construction is estimated to begin next summer with opening to occur approximately six months later.
Cobalt Partners expects to announce one to two additional restaurant concepts by early January for construction next summer as the final phase of White Stone Station. “We are excited to announce, for the final phase of our mixed-used development, tenants that have been thoughtfully selected for the excitement and synergy they will bring to the overall development. The strong marketplace demand validates the suburban, mixed-use development model.”
Developed by Cobalt Partners in public-private partnership with the Village of Menomonee Falls, White Stone Station is a nearly 60-acre redevelopment that included assemblage of over 20 parcels, demolition of approximately 750,000 square feet of blighted industrial buildings, environmental remediation, and mitigation of wetlands.
With total development value in excess of $110 million, White Stone Stations retailers include Costco Wholesale, TJ Maxx, HomeGoods, Ross, Ulta, Five Below, and Kay Jewelers. Restaurants include Grate Mac & Cheese, Café Zupas, and Firehouse Subs. Other components of the development include Home2Suites by Hilton, Wisconsin Athletic Club, Froedtert, and the 318-unit Junction apartments.
Neighbors in West Bend have long desired the Italian chain restaurant however officials with Olive Garden say the population is not large enough for a franchise.
Folks in Germantown were also on tap to get an Olive Garden several years ago. It was planned for County Line Road. However that deal never came to fruition.
