Bill was long time member of St. Kilian Catholic Church in Hartford and also a proud member of the Hartford American Legion. His love of farming carried over into retirement where he loved to garden and share his harvest with the family. He enjoyed sketching (a true artist), playing Sheepshead, Yahtzee and reading to keep his mind active when his body slowed down. He played the clarinet in his younger years with his band at Zivko’s Ballroom. In summers for one week he would take a break and pack the van full of kids and travel across the United States. He always was an inspiration to his children and will be deeply missed. Another retirement hobby of his was visiting old friends and neighbors when they moved to their rest homes.
