October 7, 2019 – West Bend, WI –Shirley Ann “Sha” Luehring, 85, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of October 3, 2019 in her home in West Bend, WI.
She was born in Oconomowoc, WI on December 22, 1933 to John Hendricks and Ruth (nee Gauerke) Hendricks. She graduated from Oconomowoc High School in June 1952.
She was united in marriage to John “Pete” Luehring in Chicago, IL on March 30, 1957. Together, they made their home in West Bend, where she lived her life loving and helping her family, friends, and others.
She was a talented artist. Her works of art included paintings, pillows, and purses.
Sha is survived by her husband “Pete” and daughters Wendy (Andy) Kopca of Andover MN and Margo Davis of Marietta GA, Granddaughters Chelsea (Daniel) Jacobson of Andover, MN, Lindsay Davis and Emily Davis of Marietta, GA, and grandson Ryan Kopca, of Blaine, MN. She leaves great grandchildren JoAnna Jacobson and Elizabeth Jacobson of Andover, MN and Keegan Steffens, of Anoka, MN. Also cousins Jerry Matters of Costa Rica, Marjorie Reitz and Kenwood Gauerke of Oconomowoc and Diane Blank of FL.
Her fourth dog, Stella, continues the “special-member-of-the-family” bond that only her canine cuties could bring to us.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday October 12 from 1 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W Paradise Dr. West Bend, WI 53095.
